Boyfriend Jeans | www.thepetitista.comTrusty boyfriend jeans are one of my favorite styles of jeans as I can throw them on with my sneaks for a comfy cool look or try them unexpectedly with these super sexy lace up heels.  I wanted to keep the outfit pretty simple to let the shoes and sunnies pop.  Even though Zara has no petite line, their euro sizing tends to be on the trimmer side, making the brand a great option for petite gals.  These jeans are a size 24 and have the perfect broken-in but not too baggy boyfriend effect.

The lace on this top adds a subtle textural difference and a hint of sex appeal to an everyday basic.  I can also see pairing it with a high-waisted skirt to balance out its boxiness.

Petite Tip:
If you’re worried about swimming in these jeans, try a slim boyfriend cut, like this option that starts at size 23 or ease into them with some height.  Try them with any kind of shoe that gives you a little rise and pair it with something more fitted like a bodysuit or body-hugging top to feminize the jeans.  I also got this awesome knit jacket from StitchFix which is my version of a dressy cardigan.  I did have to get the sleeves taken up which is pretty standard for non-petite cut jackets but the small amount of tailoring made a big difference in fit.
